“Africa’s Royal Treasure”

Thube Mpofana : Founder and creator of Indlovukazi Beauty Care
I am a proudly authentic African woman who loves inspiring other women to love themselves for who they really are.

Indlovukazi (taken from isiZulu meaning African Queen) aims to sensitize all African queens (and kings) back to our roots, back to real self-love and self-actualization. As both a Western medical doctor and an African healer my path in life has always reminded me and always pulled me back to my true life purpose of healing people.

Indlovukazi beauty care came as another dimention to this life purpose, that of healing us as Africans of the colonialization of our minds by western ideas, telling us that all that is Black or African needs to be westernised. It is a fact that there is no error nor mutation in the way we were created, with our kinky, super-coily hair and melanin-rich skin. What has brought me to this point of creating Indlovukazi beauty care has been a long and fulfilling journey of rebirth into my Africanness. This has made me realize that Black is beautiful and Black is worthy. There is Power in our Africanness

Indlovukazi beauty care aims to enhance African beauty in all it’s forms. We aim to allow our African hair and skin to just be, without the interference of harsh chemicals.

We live by the motto that Mother-Nature has all the solutions to our daily problems and needs. Our product line is a natural plant-based beauty care range made from 100% natural butters and oils. Our products are suitable for use on all skin types, especially sensitive skin. We source our butters and oils from countries all over Africa from women-led organizations. We pride ourselves on contributing to women empowerment and poverty alleviation in countries like Ghana, where we source our shea butter, and South Africa.

We pay for our raw materials in line with Fairtrade agreements in order to prevent women exploitation in the entrepreneural space.

The ingredients in our care range include raw unrefined Ghanaian shea butter, unrefined Ghanaian cocoa butter, Coconut oil, South African moringa oil, baobab oil, Jamaican black castor oil, and many more. We also use a variety of essential oils in our products like tea trea, rosemary, lavender, peppermint oils and others. Our products are made in small batches to ensure extreme care in production, to exclusivity and quality end-product. We infuse a lot of love into our products during the production phase. It is our ultimate dream at Indlovukazi beauty care that with our offering we see many more African queens and kings realize their true authentic beauty. Indlovukazi Beauty Care: Africa’s Royal Treasure is our humble contribution to serving humanity. We aim to uplift each other, one African at a time
